Rick Owens is one of the most polarizing figures in modern fashion. Rick Owens was born in California and studied fashion design at Otis College of Art and Design before dropping out to take up patternmaking at Los Angelss Trade-Technical College. He soon began producing knockoffs of popular designer clothing  which allowed him to further develop his patternmaking talent.

In 1994 Rick's eponymous brand was launched and enjoyed small-scale success within the underground subcultures of Los Angeles. In 2003 he began showing in Paris and this is where the brand really took off.

Rick Owens is now one of the most influential and creative designers in modern fashion. His brutalist shapes and futuristic styling are just some of the traits that make Rick Owens the brand he has become today
